I need to get this said. On Friday afternoon, Dr. S. congratulated me on completing one (1) Cyberknife treatement.
One.
After how many weeks? I don’t know. But we got it done. About halfway through, or roughly one run-through and change of Tracy Chapman’s debut album, my neck, which had been turned facing to the right, was just killing me and I had to turn it. This might have meant having to start all over. But we turned my head until it sat upright, the rest of the body hardly moved at all so, crossing our fingers, we forged ahead.
Apparently it was good enough. The head remained upright, the rest of the body hardly moved, one Don McClean CD later everybody seemed pleased that we’d hit all the proper spots cleanly. The rest of me — lying on my stomach — felt OK the whole time, so apparently I can last through that.
There were some episodes of nausea — just as we left the house, as soon as the Cyberknife was finished, and again back home (this last a bit green, though each instance was bile.) Dr. S. said I should let Dr. K know, in case it indicated some sort of spread in the liver or blockage or something. Left message.
There is, perhaps, maybe, some noiceable pain relief. We’ll see how getting through tomorrow and Tuesday do.
The thing that has not changed, and is not changing, is the fatigue. It’s far worse.

Chris, Thanks for the updates. Are you able to eat? Are there some supplements that might help the fatique? Hope your energy level returns and treatment continues to move forward in a positive direction.

congrats on making it through your first cyberknife treatment. and thank goodness for good music. hope the pain relief is real, and ongoing. and that you can get some rest, real rest.
here, we’re waiting for a really good thunderstorm, and keep getting these piddling little rain showers. if there’s anything I miss about the DC area, it’s the frequent booming thunderstorms of summer.

Chris,
At least you were able to get through it. I’m so glad for that much .
Nice choice in music btw.
Red Sox offically suck.. I’m currently mad at them! It’s like prom night.. so much expectation for scoring and coming up empty handed.
Out of the 5 books I had planned to read this summer I got through 2 .The rest will have to wait till deep winter.
Right now the fight to get the boys back to bed before the crack of dawn and pry their controllers out of their hands begins. We start school Sept 1st. Way to early for my taste.
Speaking of which I need to go pull a few wires out of the x box..
Soft paths my friend.
Hugs,
Moe

Hey, Chris – haven’t heard from you in a while, and am hoping that means you’re getting some good rest, and that the cyberknife treatment has made a difference for the better. We send all our wishes for strength and comfort…and enough laughter to lift the spirits! love you, Caroline
